Down the road

Well, Sunday after Mass we'd walk it. Start at the gate and go down, and every house along here I'll tell you who's in it.

Deer Lake

deer-lake · The Trans-Canada

The airport junction where trips to Gros Morne and the Northern Peninsula begin.

Deer Lake is a service town of about 5,000 at the junction of the Trans-Canada Highway and route 430, the Viking Trail. Deer Lake Regional Airport is the main air gateway for the island's west coast, Gros Morne National Park, and the Northern Peninsula, and the town sits on the Deer Lake River, which powered an early hydroelectric station built to serve the Corner Brook paper mill.
