Games
Come in. Pull up a chair.
Them days you sent a youngster up the road to say there was a game on. Now you send the code, and if a chair's still empty when you deal, one of the regulars takes it.

Got a place worth the drive?
Down the road
Well, Sunday after Mass we'd walk it. Start at the gate and go down, and every house along here I'll tell you who's in it.
Elliston's Root Cellars
elliston · The Bonavista Peninsula
Hillsides pocked with little doors, where a whole town once kept its winter.
Elliston on the Bonavista Peninsula is known as the Root Cellar Capital of the World, and its hillsides hold a remarkable density of root cellars - earth-insulated storage rooms dug into the ground, roofed with timber and sod, in which families kept turnips, potatoes, cabbage and other provisions through winter. The cellars were the initial attraction that put Elliston on the tourism map, and many have been restored and signposted for visitors.
