Games
Come in. Pull up a chair.
Them days you sent a youngster up the road to say there was a game on. Now you send the code, and if a chair's still empty when you deal, one of the regulars takes it.

Down the road
Well, Sunday after Mass we'd walk it. Start at the gate and go down, and every house along here I'll tell you who's in it.
Hiscock House
trinity · The Bonavista Peninsula
A widow's store on Trinity's lane - Emma Hiscock kept family and shop alive.
Hiscock House on Trinity's main street was built in 1881 for merchant Richard Hiscock. After Richard drowned in 1893, his widow Emma raised their six children in the house and continued operating the family general store, serving the town as postmistress as well. The house is restored and interpreted as a provincial historic site, furnished to the period when Emma ran both business and household alone.
